Holly Williams
As a mental health therapist with more than 25 years of experience, I am dedicated to creating a safe and welcoming space for my clients. I combine empathy with evidence-based techniques to help individuals navigate life's challenges and foster resilience. I'm passionate about empowering people to find the tools they need to thrive. I’m known as a warm and approachable practitioner who truly loves what I do. I use active listening to understand each client’s unique story and make them feel genuinely heard. My goal is to make everyone feel comfortable and supported as we work together on their path to healing.
First session
In a client's first session, they can expect a welcoming and supportive environment where we’ll start by discussing their goals and what they hope to achieve. It’s a chance for them to share their story and for us to build a foundation of trust as we begin working together. In couples and family work, I make it a priority to listen to every perspective in the room. Hearing from all sides ensures that each person feels understood and that we can find a path forward together.
Strengths
In my sessions, I strive to create a balanced and supportive atmosphere. I can sit quietly and hold space when a client needs to be heard, or I can gently challenge when it's time to explore new perspectives. I lean toward reality-based therapy and solution-focused therapy, helping clients find practical and meaningful ways to navigate their challenges.
Ideal clients
My ideal client is someone who truly wants to get better. Someone motivated to change the aspects of their life that they see as obstacles. My ideal client is someone who takes an active role in their own treatment and clearly guides what they want to achieve out of therapy. I want to make sure that the time we spend together is truly valuable for you and never feels like a waste.
Treatment methods
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I have a wide toolbox of therapy modalities that I use in our sessions. I tend to lean toward cognitive behavioral therapy, or CBT, as well as reality-based therapy. I also use a lot of solution-focused therapy, and I take a person-centered approach, so I can meet you exactly where you are.
