Hi, I'm Paul, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who works with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, addiction, trauma, and life transitions. I attended the University of Cincinnati for undergraduate and Northern Kentucky for my Master's degree. I have worked in the field on mental health for over twenty years and direct therapy for about twelve years. I use several types of modalities depending on the issue, including Motivational Interviewing, CBT, and Solution-Focused Therapy. I am a strong believer in general health and wellness and look forward to working with you to become the best version of yourself.
In our first session, I would like to complete/review your assessment and identify what brought you to therapy. We will utilize this time to get to know each other and answer any questions you may have. We will also identify current stressors if needed and start to develop a plan to address them.
My biggest strength is building a relationship with my clients and helping them identify and achieve their goals. I perform this by providing a nonjudgemental and supportive environment for individuals to feel comfortable and motivated to reach their potential.
I am best positioned to serve someone who is currently experiencing distress from anxiety, depression, life transitions, grief, or addiction. I am also comfortable working with someone experiencing symptoms related to PTSD. My ideal client would want to address current stressors, symptoms, relationships, or addiction by working on coping skills and short/long-term goals. I enjoy working with individuals that want to take control and better their lives.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
