New to Grow
I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC). I am committed to helping individuals navigate the complexities of anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, PTSD, and other mental health challenges. I believe that everyone has the strength within them to overcome obstacles and find a path towards healing and growth. Whether you're an adolescent or an adult, I am here to offer a safe space for you to explore your emotions, thoughts, and experiences. By seeking therapy, you're taking a courageous step towards a more fulfilling future. It would be an honor to walk this path alongside you.
Our first session will consist of introductions and taking of intake information which helps me to have a better understanding of your goals for therapy and where you are at the beginning of treatment. I work hard to make our sessions feel more like a comfortable chat and less like an interrogation. I strive to create a welcoming, supportive space where you can feel heard, understood, and empowered to make meaningful changes.
I rely on several types of therapy modalities to tailor treatment to your specific needs and goals. These can include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT). My style is warm, encouraging, and direct. I work to support you through difficult emotions, while also challenging unhelpful beliefs and behaviors that may be standing in the way of achieving your goals. Therapy isn't always easy, but the progress you make can be worth all the hard work. My goal is to help you leave each session feeling understood, equipped, and one step closer to the life you want to create.
My ideal client is someone who desires positive change and is willing to do the work necessary to achieve it. I believe you are the expert on your own life, and my role is to help you build insight, develop skills, and move toward the life you want. I want to work collaboratively with clients to create the life they want.
Other specialties
I identify as
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a type of therapy that helps people understand how their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are connected. Sometimes we develop negative or unhelpful thinking patterns which can affect how we feel and act. CBT teaches people to recognize those negative thoughts, challenge them, and replace them with more balanced ones. Changing the way we think can improve our lives. CBT also provides practical skills that can be used daily.
Solution Focused Brief Treatment
What if you woke up and all your problems were solved? How would you know, what would look different in your life? That is the question Solution Focused Therapy asks of the client. That information is then used to make a structured plan to address what needs to be changed in order for the client to have a better quality of life.
