Sometimes we all need someone to listen, validate, and hear our story. You may be experiencing emotional pain, suffering, uncontrollable worry, sadness, fatigue, troubled relationships and/ or grief. The reasons for these feelings and struggles may vary based on what has happened to YOU. I work with individuals that feel lost and unsure of what is next for them. I help you build and use skills that will support emotion regulation, decrease worried thoughts, and increase meaningful connections with self and others. You don’t have to work on these challenges alone. Allow me to be a part of your journey. We'll use approaches that will be evidence based to address your needs and help you on your path to wellness. I love working with and supporting the connection between mind, body and spirit and we'll use nature and outdoor therapy when clinically appropriate as some of our tools. I believe that each of us inherently know what we need in order to heal ourselves and cultivate experiences that enrich our lives. I will work collaboratively with you to rediscover and enhance your inner knowledge and strengths. I take the time to listen to your needs and support you on the path to wellness.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session we will talk about what has brought you to therapy, review some of the assessments you have recently completed and collaborate on a plan to support you.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

First and foremost, I am a trauma informed therapist. I am passionate about approaching your needs from this foundational knowledge and passing that understanding on to you. I am an empathic, compassionate and eclectic therapist. I approach our sessions with authenticity, care and concern, and action. I will use and teach you tools from many types of therapies including but not limited to Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused, Attachment, Gestalt, and Family Systems based on your needs and preferences.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I work to ensure that you feel seen and heard. I can be active in our sessions to teach you skills that will help you reach your goals. I can also be the supportive listener if that is what is needed in the moment to help you find your voice. I do offer in person sessions as walk and talk therapy for established patients. We will both agree to use walk and talk therapy as a modality and it will only be conducted if it is beneficial to helping you meet your therapeutic goals and if the location is feasible for me.
