I am a licensed psychologist based in Pennsylvania. I have extensive training in working with individuals coping with a variety of physical and chronic health conditions. I have a very empathetic and neuroaffirming approach to my care. My goal isn't to find problems with behavior, rather it is to help you understand your personal story and how different behavior presentations may explain these experiences. We work together as a team, discussing how strategies and recommendations may or may not fit with your current situation.
During our first session, we will discuss your reasons for starting therapy, and specify some goals to work on. I may spend some time getting background information to help understand what is your best treatment plan. We will work collaboratively to determine the best plan for you.
I focus on actively listening to you, and aim to develop a collaborative approach. While I am trained in a variety of clinical tools, you are the expert on yourself. I'm flexible in trying new strategies instead of repeating things that have not worked for you.
Based on my training and experiences, I work well with clients who are coping with stressors, whether those stressors come from life events or medical concerns. Additionally, I have training working with perimental health concerns, as well as postpartum concerns.
