(he/him)
Hi! I'm a professional counselor with more than 15 years of experience and work well with adults struggling with anxiety, depression, relationships and life transitions. I enjoy helping people recognize their choices and actualize their potential. I maintain objectivity while utilizing a Socratic method to help people explore their circumstances and options. I offer a supportive connection and strengths-based approach to treatment.
During our first session, you will have the opportunity to tell me what you've been experiencing and how it has affected you. I will use this time and information to tailor my approach and treatment plan to your needs. The time spent will be conversational and we will both have the space to ask questions and get to know more about you and what brings you to therapy.
I try to cultivate presence with those I work with and therefore promote a feeling of validation and understanding. I listen and empathize but also provide objective feedback people can use to improve their circumstances.
I work best with adults experiencing stress, anxiety, depression, and life transitions. I am open to a wide range of clients experiencing a myriad of issues. I am adaptive and have a long history of working with a diverse population. I do well with clients who have extensive therapy experience as well as those new to the experience. I pride myself on creating a welcoming environment for all people.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
CBT can be used to identify cognitive distortions and challenge unhealthy thought patterns.
Eclectic
Depending on an individual's needs, I may draw upon various modalities or disciplines within a session and throughout treatment.
