I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and received my masters from Nyack College in Manhattan, New York. My focus is to help individuals that struggle with depression, anxiety, relationship issues, adjustment issues as well as diagnosed personality and mental health disorders. I have gained experience working in out-patient as well as telehealth and in-home therapy. My approach is integrative based on each individual’s situations and preferences. The therapeutic techniques I have used include play therapy, art therapy, Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, and family-based therapy. I work in a collaborative manner which helps individuals to overcome challenges and trauma, enabling them to understand themselves so they can reach their maximum potential.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Client can expect and unconditional positive environment where all their questions will be received an answered. They will be provided with a biopsychosocial assessment to gain information in order the best assist their goals and needs.

I am well adaptable to each client's needs and approaches. Clients will find a therapist who will strive to communicate as well as someone who is compassionate about each person's story. They will find someone emphatic and supportive and able to play different roles as best suits each individual.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I have been able to assist clients reframe unhealthy ways of thinking through CBT in order for memories to be store in different ways and include more positive and healthy perspectives into their most challenging thoughts.

Attachment-based

I have used attachment based theory to identify unhealthy attachment styles and codependency. This plays an important part in many inter personal relationships and feelings of security one might experience.

Christian Counseling

My training is Christian based combining the view of the word of God and psychology for those individuals who seek mental health with a Christian view.

Cognitive Behavior Therapy for Suicide Prevention (CBT-SP)

I have worked with adolescents and adults with severe depression and incorporated strategies such as thought stopping, black and white thinking, thought reframing amongst others to enable the individual the reduce and eliminate suicidal thoughts.

Compassion Focused

My approached is always keeping in mind everyone's perspective is valid, therefore a non-judgmental space is provided where the individual can experience a safe environment to express themselves genuinely.
