I completed my undergraduate studies at William Carey University in Mississippi where I obtained my bachelor’s degree in nursing in 2013. I have since graduated from the University of South Alabama in 2021 with my master’s degree in nursing with a specialty concentration in Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I am board certified to evaluate and treat mental health disorders for patients across the lifespan. I have a special interest in Depression, Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Anxiety, Bipolar Disorder, Schizophrenia, and Substance Abuse Disorder. I utilize my knowledge, clinical skills, and evidence-based practice to establish an effective, patient-centered treatment plan. I am caring and have compassion for others. I am also determined to provide adequate, quality of care for patients with mental health concerns.
During the first session, I take the time to introduce myself and learn more about your lifestyle and any specific mental health concerns that you may have at that time. It is important to establish a therapeutic relationship and effective communication with you in order to have a trustworthy patient-provider relationship.
Aa a Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, I feel my greatest strengths are listening to patients and empathizing with them. It is important to understand how a patient is feeling during their most difficult times. I feel once that you are able to understand your patient, then you are in a better position to be able to provide them with the necessary resources in order to help improve the care of their mental health.
I enjoy working with children, teenagers, adults, and elderly patients.
