(she/her)
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) serving individuals throughout California. I earned my Master of Social Work from California State University, Bakersfield, and bring over 10 years of experience in community and behavioral mental health. My work has been shaped by supporting individuals facing complex mental health challenges, helping them build stability, resilience, and a greater sense of well-being. I approach therapy with warmth, authenticity, and compassion, drawing from both my professional training and real-life experiences to foster a genuine, meaningful connection.
The first appointment is an assessment session designed to get a full picture of you and your needs. During this time, we’ll complete a comprehensive biopsychosocial evaluation, exploring your history, current concerns, and what’s bringing you to therapy. This session focuses on understanding you as a whole person—clarifying your goals, identifying patterns, and considering any potential diagnoses. While we may begin to touch on your current challenges, the primary goal is to build a strong foundation for our work together. The deeper, ongoing therapy work will begin in the sessions that follow.
Growing up in Los Angeles, I was exposed to the real-life challenges of violence, poverty, substance use, and systemic inequities. These early experiences didn’t just shape my perspective—they ignited a deep commitment to making mental health care more accessible, compassionate, and culturally responsive for underserved and underrepresented communities. I began my journey in the mental health field as a case manager, where I built a strong foundation in advocacy, crisis support, and community-based care. It was during this time that I witnessed firsthand how powerful it can be for someone to feel truly seen, heard, and supported. I saw how empathy, consistency, and genuine connection can create meaningful change and foster long-term growth. Today, I bring that same passion into my work as a therapist. My approach is client-centered and collaborative, grounded in respect, cultural humility, and evidence-based practices. I strive to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where you can show up as you are—where your voice matters, your experiences are honored, and your goals guide the work we do together. I believe that healing is not about perfection, but about progress, self-understanding, and building a life that feels aligned, balanced, and truly your own.
Cognitive Processing (CPT)
I primarily utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) alongside principles of Positive Psychology, while incorporating a strengths-based approach to support the development of effective coping skills. This integrative approach is designed to help you better manage symptoms, navigate life stressors, and enhance your overall well-being and quality of life.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
My ideal clients are individuals who are motivated and ready to create meaningful change in their lives. They are open to gaining insight, challenging unhelpful patterns, and actively working toward shifts in mindset, lifestyle, and interpersonal alignment. These clients are often seeking more than just symptom relief—they are looking to better understand themselves, improve their relationships, and build a more balanced and fulfilling life. I work well with individuals who may be struggling with a range of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, mood disorders, and challenges with self-esteem, emotional regulation, and life transitions. Many of my clients feel stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected, yet have a desire to grow and move forward. Together, we focus on increasing self-awareness, developing healthier coping strategies, and creating sustainable changes that align with their values and goals. Clients who benefit most from working with me are willing to engage in the therapeutic process, reflect honestly, and apply what they learn both in and outside of sessions.
