(she/her)
Greetings! I am a certified licensed clinical social worker based in Maryland who have been practicing for 25+ years in various settings. I received my Masters of Social Work from University of Maryland at Baltimore. I have experience working with families, groups, and individuals within a forensic setting, hospital setting, ambulatory setting, practice setting, residential treatment setting, and home setting. I love nature, my family/friends, my doggies, my fish, and all natures' creatures including spiders which I am afraid of. My favorite hobbies are bikram yoga, kayaking, tubing, cliff jumping, boating, car racing, motorcycle riding, and traveling. I work with individuals as young as 13 years old who are having difficulty with attention deficit to the elderly who are having difficulty coping with the challenges of aging.
In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions then discuss the specific challenges you are facing. This will help me understand your treatment goals and develop a tailored treatment plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.
Being a holistic practitioner provides my clients with focus on achieving a sense of wholeness, a balance in life. I help my clients understand the connection between their emotional health, mental health, physical health, and spiritual health while reminding them of their many strengths and qualities.
I enjoy working with individuals who are seeking help with depression and anxiety. My clients understand that therapy provides them with a safe, nonjudgmental space to gain an understanding of their depression/anxiety and learn healthy coping skills to reduce their symptoms. As a result, they are able to communicate better which has a positive effect in their relationships.
Other specialties
I identify as
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I’ve been using CBT in my practice for the past 18 years. It’s helped dozens of clients challenge reoccurring thoughts and manage their anxiety. We’ll use CBT to recognize how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors influence each other. We’ll then use that knowledge to change your thinking patterns, which will help you lead a less anxious and stressed life.

Giselle has been incredible. She manages to be both personable and professional in a way that makes it easy to open up to her and feel like the information she gives me is valuable. She's helped me a lot with identifying areas where I'm struggling and working with me to better myself. Would highly recommend scheduling a session.
