I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 5 years of experience and I approach my client's care the same way I'd approach my own- transparently, empathically, and with a bit of humor sprinkled in. I try my best to provide a warm, collaborative space where children, teens, and adults feel safe, supported, and understood. I have extensive experience working with youth and especially enjoy supporting teens as they navigate anxiety, life transitions, school stress, identity development, and family or peer relationships. All the good stuff! My approach is compassionate, CBT oriented, and strengths-based, helping clients build insight, develop coping skills (by the time we are done, you will have a whole toolbox full of skills to dive into!) and create meaningful, lasting change.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Your first session is a chance for us to get to know each other and help you feel comfortable. We will talk about what is bringing you to therapy, and why now. What do you hope will feel different in your life? What questions or concerns do you have? I will ask about your background, current stressors, family dynamics, and strengths so I can understand the full picture and begin thinking about how to best support you. There is no pressure to share everything at once. You are welcome to move at your own pace, and yes, it is completely okay if you feel nervous or are not sure where to start. Many people say, “I have no idea where to begin,” and that, right there, is a perfectly fine place to be. 😊

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

What stands out about my approach is that it is both compassionate and practical. I focus on building a strong, trusting relationship while also giving clients real tools they can use in everyday life. I use evidence-based strategies and tailor therapy to each child, teen, and adult, because there is no one size fits all approach. I also believe humor can be a powerful coping tool and a way to gently explore defense mechanisms, helping clients feel more at ease while building insight and resilience. Clients often share that they feel truly heard and leave sessions with clearer insight, concrete coping skills, and a stronger sense of confidence in handling challenges outside of therapy.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

Ideal client is well functioning and experiencing mild to moderate sxs. These can range from anxiety, depression, existential concerns, relation issues and life transitions. Moving, entering new school, relationships ending, considering career paths, etc. I have treated adolescents between the ages on 12 to 24, as well as some adults up to age 50. My expertise resides between 12–24-year-olds, also referred to as TAY (transitional aged youth).

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I utilize the CBT triangle regularly in my practice. This modality examines the relationship between our thoughts, feelings and actions.

Feminist

I studied gender and women's studies throughout my psychological education, and firmly believe our circumstances are affected by patriarchal societies and systems.

Compassion Focused

Using a relatively Jungian philosophy, I believe in exuding unconditional positive regard for my clients, their ability to heal and their expertise in their own lives.
