I became a social worker to help communities thrive by supporting individuals one by one. Discovering your strength in overcoming life’s challenges can lead to lasting success. Your desire for independence, self-esteem, and self-actualization is real, normal and achievable. Everyone has the potential to live a fulfilling life, and I’m here to guide you in building the foundation for that.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, we’ll get to know each other and understand your reasons for therapy. I’ll ask about your current concerns, goals, and what you hope to achieve. This is a safe space to share openly, and there’s no pressure to disclose more than you’re comfortable with.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My greatest strength is my experience as a therapist and medical social worker at trauma center hospital setting. I have assisted clients with learning how to cope with new illness, life changing injuries, grief, traumatic events, life transitional adjustments, psychiatric crises and interpersonal relationship dynamics. My approach has been from a place of empathy, compassion, motivational interviewing and strength-based interventions to assist with complex social and medical needs. I specialize in providing tools to the client to assist with alleviating the symptoms most affecting the patient before assisting with exploring the root cause of the mental health needs.

My treatment methods

Strength-Based

Strength-based is a way to help clients find their strengths, talents, and resources. It’s all about setting goals to solve problems. In practice, it means setting positive goals, changing how we see challenges, and using our strengths to make things better.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a systematic process that emphasizes the impact of thoughts, emotions, and behaviors on one’s well-being. The primary objective of CBT is to equip individuals with practical strategies to effectively manage these factors. In essence, CBT involves setting achievable milestones, challenging and reframing automatic thought patterns, and utilizing specialized tools to sustain the newly adopted reframing.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

The primary objective of this treatment method is to emphasize the client’s strengths, establish a specific setting, define clear and achievable goals, and identify potential exceptions to the challenges. Instead of solely analyzing the problems, SFBT focuses on creating practical and quantifiable changes.
