Welcome folks! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in California. I received my Master's degree from the University of Southern California and my Bachelor's degree from the University of California Los Angeles. I have 7 years of experience providing mental health treatment in English and Spanish in outpatient, community mental health settings. I have a passion for empowering others and believe in the importance of learning how different systems can come together to uplift marginalized peoples.
In our first session together, we will take the time to introduce ourselves. I will take the time to explore what you are hoping to tackle in therapy so that we can collaborate on a plan for our sessions to follow. I will ask questions that will help us hone in on areas of focus. We can also explore any concerns you may have about therapy.
As a bilingual and multicultural provider, the folks I work with are seen as people first. I pride myself in taking a strengths based and trauma informed approach to treatment. I have been trained in different evidence based practices which I draw upon in treatment and am currently in the process of being certified in Eye Movement Desensitization Therapy (EMDR) by EMDRIA.
