Reaching out for help takes courage, and you are taking a step towards healing. Although this decision is brave, it can also be overwhelming. Life is full of situations that can leave you with sadness, anxiety, depression, or simply feeling lost and hopeless. Struggling with mental health can feel lonely and isolating. Working together with a therapist CAN change that. I find it meaningful to help clients better understand their inherent value and self-worth. In this way, while building a mutual understanding, we can find the best pace for you to take steps that can lead to growth. I am here to support you, to hear you, and to help you. I believe in a client-centered approach, meaning you are the expert on your life and I am here to help you.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In your first session with me, we’ll focus on getting to know each other and beginning to build a trusting, collaborative relationship. I’ll ask some questions to better understand what brings you to therapy, your goals, and any important background information. You’re welcome to share as much or as little as you feel comfortable—we’ll go at your pace. We’ll also talk about how I work as a therapist, answer any questions you have, and discuss what you’d like to get out of therapy. This session helps us lay the foundation for our work together and ensures you feel safe, heard, and supported.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I bring a calm, compassionate presence to therapy and create a space where clients feel safe, heard, and respected. I’m skilled at building strong therapeutic relationships and helping clients explore challenges at their own pace. I use evidence-based approaches like CBT to support mindset and behavior change and Motivational Interviewing to foster internal motivation. I balance structure with flexibility—offering guidance while honoring each client’s unique path. My ability to listen deeply, ask thoughtful questions, and reflect strengths helps clients feel empowered and supported as they work toward meaningful growth.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My ideal client is someone who is open to self-reflection and ready to make meaningful changes, even if they’re feeling unsure of where to start. They may be struggling with anxiety, relationship challenges, life transitions, or self-doubt—and are looking for a safe, supportive space to explore these issues. I especially enjoy working with individuals and couples who are motivated to improve communication, increase emotional awareness, and build healthier patterns in their lives. Whether they’re feeling stuck or seeking growth, they value collaboration and are willing to engage in the therapy process with honesty, curiosity, and intention.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients understand the connection between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Together, we work to identify negative or distorted thinking patterns that may be contributing to emotional distress or unhelpful behaviors. I then guide clients in developing more balanced, realistic thoughts and in practicing new behaviors that support their goals. CBT is collaborative, goal-oriented, and often involves practical exercises or homework between sessions to reinforce learning and promote long-term change.

Motivational Interviewing

I use Motivational Interviewing (MI) to help clients explore and resolve ambivalence about change. MI is a collaborative, client-centered approach that supports individuals in identifying their own motivations for change. Through open-ended questions, reflective listening, and affirming clients’ strengths, I help them clarify their values and build confidence in their ability to make meaningful changes. The goal is to empower clients to move forward at their own pace, in a way that aligns with their personal goals and values.
