Alexia Lowi
Hello everyone! I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner practicing in California. I have been practicing as a nurse practitioner for over a year now, however, I have been working with mental health patients for over 5 years!
I love helping those whom are new to psychiatric medication management because I have a special ability to explain things thoroughly.
I love helping those whom are new to psychiatric medication management because I have a special ability to explain things thoroughly. I am patient and a great listener! I will make sure you truly understand your diagnosis and treatment plan. I treat all ages, backgrounds and conditions.
First session
During our first visit, we’ll take the time to get to know each other and explore your concerns in a supportive, judgment-free space. We'll review your symptom history and discuss any stressors you have in your life. We will then create a plan to manage your systems whether this be through medication management or holistically.
Strengths
My greatest strengths as a provider are my humility, compassion, and ability to truly connect with my patients. I speak to my patient's as if we are family/friends. This allows me to explain things in a way other providers may not be able to. My goal is to make sure you leave our visits with answers to your questions and confidence in your treatment plan. I am easy to talk to and make sure my patients feel comfortable expressing themselves to me.
Ideal clients
**Currently only accepting ADHD clients if you are located in San Francisco/Bay Area due to new prescribing policy changes** I love helping clients from all age ranges whom feel overly stressed, anxious, and overwhelmed. I love getting a thorough history and exploring ways to better manage symptoms. I enjoy treating Anxiety, ADHD, Depression, PTSD, Bipolar Disorders, and schizophrenia.
Treatment methods

Motivational Interviewing
I use motivational interviewing to empower my patients by exploring their values, enhancing their motivation for change, and guiding them toward achievable mental health goals.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I integrate cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) to help patients identify and reframe negative thought patterns, develop healthier coping strategies, and achieve lasting emotional well-being
Compassion-Focused
I provide compassionate, patient-centered care by fostering a supportive and nonjudgmental environment where individuals feel heard, valued, and empowered in their mental health journey
Gender-affirming therapy
I provide gender-affirming care by creating a safe, inclusive space where patients of all gender identities feel respected, supported, and empowered in their mental health and well-being. I also provide Gender-Affirming Surgery Evaluation Letters.
