(she/her)
I am a board-certified Psychiatric and Mental Health Nurse Practitioner in New Jersey and New York. I provide high-quality, person-centered care to individuals struggling with mental health issues. I strive to create a safe and supportive environment that promotes healing and empowerment, prioritizing the values of compassion, empathy, and respect. I have acquired a broad range of skills and experiences that allow me to effectively assess, diagnose, and manage various mental health conditions. I approach care with empathy, compassion, and a commitment to collaborating with patients, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals to identify and address their unique needs and optimize treatment outcomes. I am passionate about ensuring my patients feel welcome, respected, and heard, and receive evidence-based mental health care services to help improve their overall well-being.
In our first session, you can expect a safe and confidential space where you can share your experiences and concerns. We will start with brief introductions and discuss your mental health history as well as your goals for treatment. We will develop a treatment plan that best meets your needs. I will explain my clinical approach, and we will discuss how I can support you through the process. The first session is an important opportunity for us to establish trust and collaboration, and to begin the process of healing.
I am a compassionate and empathetic listener. I respect the thoughts, feelings, and experiences of my patients, and I work hard to build a rapport with them. I work with my patients to develop an evidence-based treatment plan that will work for them. I provide a safe space for my patient to express their concerns. One of my biggest advantages is my ability to translate complex mental health concepts into clear, usable insights. Clients don’t just leave with a diagnosis; they understand what’s happening in their body, why certain patterns keep repeating, and what they can realistically do about it. Another key strength is my balanced, integrative approach. I’m not locked into a single method; I combine medication management with supportive therapy, psychoeducation, and behavioral strategies. This flexibility allows me to tailor care instead of forcing clients into a rigid framework.
I’m a strong fit for clients experiencing conditions like anxiety, depression, mood disorders, ADHD, and trauma-related symptoms. Clients who are looking not just for someone to listen, but for someone who can assess, diagnose, and offer a structured treatment plan that may include medication alongside supportive therapy. Clients who feel overwhelmed or stuck, who want clarity and direction, or who are unsure why they’re struggling. I’m positioned to work with clients who are at least somewhat motivated for change. They don’t need to have everything figured out, but they should be willing to engage. Clients who want both understanding and action, ready to work on their mental health with a provider who can guide, treat, and adjust care as they progress.

Dr. Oluchi is like drinking soup on a cold day. She just warms the soul. She challenges you to look at yourself from an inside perspective as well as outside. She helps to identify what is the root cause to your issues and can help come up with a plan to manage your mental health. She is a fantastic Doctor and I highly recommend her, but only if you're really ready to change. ❤️
