Hi! I'm Veronica. I'm a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who continues to feel privileged to support healing journeys for the past decade. I approach each session with warmth and attunement to the client's needs, while also focusing on building insight, emotional capacity and self-compassion. I enjoy working with people who are at the cusp of a life change, whether it's breaking free from a relationship, pattern or identity, and it brings me joy to see clients move toward a life that feels most true and authentic to them.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
In our first session together, we will get to know each other as I ask questions about your struggles, goals, and expectations, and make space for any of your questions or concerns. We will then identify clear signs of your healing and growth, and I will prepare care that is tailored to you and your needs using various tools and methods, including psychodynamic, attachment-based, and mindfulness approaches.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
Having worked with various age groups, backgrounds and presenting symptoms, I've developed an ability to listen for and tailor treatment to the individual's core needs and limits, and have learned to move at the client's pace toward their specific goals. Clients that have graduated from therapy have expressed feeling more at ease in mind and body, and more capable of dealing with their life stressors.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I have enjoyed working with clients (ages 25-40) who struggle with low self-esteem, codependent and people pleasing patterns in relationships, and finding direction in their life.
Psychodynamic
I've found that clients begin to experience positive forward movement when they become aware of patterns of thinking, behaving, feeling and relating through understanding their origins and creating space for grief, self-compassion, and organic empowerment + agency.
Attachment-based
Helping clients understand their attachment style has been a useful tool for clients to make positive changes in their relationships. I have also found it to be a helpful map for building insight around a client's core fears, beliefs and needs in relationships.
Mindfulness-Based Therapy
In the process of navigating past pains and future fears, I utilize mindfulness skills to support clients in staying grounded in the present, which can include breath work, somatic awareness, and guided meditation.
