LPCC, 25 years of experience
Welcome, I'm Wilson Flanders, I have been a psychotherapist for over 25 years. I am a licensed clinician in 4 states (CA, NY, FL & MA) and enjoy helping clients improve their mental health and their lives. I find joy in seeing clients achieving their goals, and feeling that I made a difference in their lives. I am a digital nomad, and meeting people from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
During our first session, we will get to know each other and find out what your goals are in psychotherapy treatment. We would then develop a Treatment Plan in a safe and non-judgemental manner.
I am dedicated to my professional training. I have had several specialty trainings mostly from the Dept of Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School, Stanford Medicine. I am a member of the International Psychotherapy Institute, the International Association for Relational Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy, the Psy Chi International Honor Society in Psychology & Golden Key International Honor Society
My ideal client would be interested in improving his/her thinking, emotional state, and general functioning. My ideal client would also be open and motivated for change and to become the best version him/herself them/themselves.

I love having the benefit of Wil's insightful questions as I work to make sense of myself and my feelings. I walk away from our sessions simultaneously aware of more of my shadow and equipped to navigate my life with more self-acceptance and appreciation.

Wilson showed great care in listening to me and my concerns and issues. He reflected what I said back to me to help me focus on the mental changes I needed in order to feel better about the things in life that felt overwhelming. He is kind and caring, a good listener, and very practical about the process for making small changes to improve my self-talk and coping skills. I highly recommend Wilson to anyone struggling with self-doubt, overwhelm, grief, or compassion fatigue.
I have over 25 years of experience in my clinical work, I apply multimodal or integrative therapeutic principles depending on the client's needs. My basic frame of work is Relational Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy, which I was immersed during my Fellowship at Harvard Medical School. I also apply other research based frames such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Solution Brief Therapy.
