Eric Finch

LCSW (he/him)3 years of experience

I strive to create a calm, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you can feel heard, understood, and accepted. Whatever you're facing, you don't have to navigate it alone. Together, we'll explore what matters most to you, identify the obstacles standing in your way, and build on the strengths and resilience you already possess. My goal is to help you gain insight, develop practical tools, and move toward a life that feels more meaningful, balanced, and authentic.

First session

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin building a comfortable, collaborative relationship. We'll talk about what brings you to therapy, your goals, and any challenges you're currently facing. I'll also explain my approach, answer any questions you have, and work with you to develop a plan that feels tailored to your needs. There is no pressure to share everything at once—we'll move at a pace that feels comfortable for you.

Strengths

I bring a warm, supportive, and client-centered approach to therapy. I listen carefully to understand your unique experiences and strive to be both intuitive and practical—helping you gain insight while developing meaningful, realistic strategies to move toward your goals.

Ideal clients

I am open to working with a variety of clients, but my dream clients would be young adults going through the transition to adulthood, struggling with stress and anxiety, figuring out who they are and where they fit in the world. I also look forward to working with clients feeling depressed, dealing with self-esteem issues, motivation, and relationships. I like clients who are curious about themselves and the world around them.

Treatment methods

Eclectic

I prefer to tailor my approach based on your needs. I pull from a variety of methods including but not limited to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Brief Treatment, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and others.

Humanistic

I recognize that no one knows your life better than you. You are the expert on your life and I am here to walk with you as we explore your goals, identify your strengths, and tap into them in order to overcome the barriers getting in the way of where you want to be.

Supportive

Supporting, cheerleading, coaching, "holding space" gently confronting, questioning; these are some of the descriptors people may use when describing how people receive support. I am here for all of it.
