Welcome! I'm Malinda. My office is in Santa Cruz, California. I offer 'in person' and virtual sessions. The majority of my clients are young adults struggling with anxiety, destructive or unhelpful habit patterns, interpersonal stressors, and often, existential questions about life. Starting therapy can be confusing, scary, and empowering all at the same time. In our first session together, here's what you can expect
First sessions are often open exploration of client questions. We explore specific goals. I share about my experience as a therapist if needed. I support clients with some education about what to expect and how to get the most out of their therapy.

Clients typically engage in a trusting therapeutic relationship quickly this allows for insight and change to manifest. I help you identify the obstacles and challenges that limit your ability to pursue happiness.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
Many of my clients have questions about therapy and how it can help. They often feel stuck, overwhelmed and anxious about their careers. I hear common experiences from clients who feel disconnected, lonely, irritable and bored. My goal is to provide a space for people to feel safe enough to explore the obstacles that keep them from experiencing a meaningful happy life.
