Hello! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in New Jersey. I recieved my Masters degree from New York University and have been practicing throughout New Jersey for 6 years. I help adults and children who have trouble with adjustment, stress, anxiety, and depression. I provide support to individuals that are trying to become the best version of themselves.
In our first session together, we will start with a brief introductions, then discuss what brought you to seeking therapeutic services. We would complete an intake and discuss your family, medical, social, and career history and current challenges that you are facing. The information gathered would help us plan for to work through in follow-up sessions.
Having worked with adults and children for the past 6 years my greatest strength that I have developed is to create goals with the client that tailor to their challenges.
I love working with persons who are seeking to make a change in their lives and who are often feeling stuck, overwhelmed or anxious.
I find that some clients respond well to CBT. It is based on the connections between your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, and how they influence each other. I like to use techniques such as role playing, journaling, relaxation and stress reduction techniques among others.
This method is useful to help examine the clients situation. I use it to empower the client change by drawing out their own meaning, importance and capacity for change.
