Hello, I'm Mika! I’m a California girl who has lived in both Northern and Southern California. I received my Bachelor’s degree from American University in Political Science and my Masters in Social Work from Boston University. I am an LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker) who loves working with adults who are searching for the tools to achieve understanding, balance and peace in their lives. I got into this field to assist those who need it most, supporting and working collaboratively with you while on your journey to process trauma, finding your voice, identifying aspects of your life that you may feel needs adjusting as well as providing you tools in how to address those needs. If this is something you feel like you need and are looking for a safe space to do so, let's work together! When not working, I enjoy spending time with my family, traveling and exploring different restaurants (since I am definitely a foodie)!
What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?
I do not believe that there is a one size fits all when it comes to therapy as each person is so incredibly different! Ultimately working together as a team and listening and supporting you in helping you achieve what you set out to do when pursuing therapy is key and therefore something that I hope you take away from each session!

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.
My biggest strength is helping you address trauma. I have spent my career working with a variety of populations, predominantly that of domestic violence, sexual assault and childhood abuse survivors in both the community as well as the military sector. In addition to that, I have worked closely with those in hospital and correctional settings.
