I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Southern California with 11 years of clinical experience supporting children, teens, and adults across a variety of clinical settings. In addition to my clinical work, I bring more than 20 years of experience in the field of child welfare, which has given me deep understanding of the challenges individuals and families face during difficult life circumstances. Throughout my career, I have developed a strong trauma informed approach and extensive experience in crisis intervention and management. These experiences have strengthened my ability to remain grounded while helping clients navigate complex situations, life transitions, and emotional challenges. My therapeutic style is warm, collaborative, and practical. I strive to create a space where clients feel safe, respected, and understood while being gently challenged toward growth and change. I believe that meaningful change happens through connection, self-discovery, and building on existing strengths. Together we will identify goals, develop effective coping strategies, and work toward lasting growth and healing.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Starting therapy can feel intimidating, and my goal is to make the process as comfortable as possible. Our first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and we'll discuss what brought you to therapy, and learn about the challenges and strengths that make up your unique story. You will have time to ask questions and determine if we are a good fit. I strive to create a supportive, judgement-free space where you feel heard, understood, and empowered. I believe that you are the expert on your own life and I look forward to working together to create positive change.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My biggest strength as a therapist is my ability to create a space where clients feel genuinely understood, accepted and supported. With over 20 years working in crisis intervention, child welfare, and mental health, I bring both clinical experience and genuine compassion to every session. I believe everyone has strengths, even during life's most challenging moments, and I consider it a privilege to help my clients discover and build upon them.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I primarily work with teens and adults who are motivated to better understand themselves, navigate challenges, and make meaningful changes in their lives. I provide a supportive and collaborative space for individuals seeking individual therapy to work through concerns such as stress, life transitions, relationship difficulties, and self-esteem. I value working with individuals who are open to the therapeutic process and ready to engage in self-exploration at their own pace. My approach is compassionate, strengths-based, and tailored to each person's individual goals. Together, we focus on building insight, developing practical coping strategies, and creating lasting change that supports a more fulfilling life.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

My approach incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), an evidence-based treatment that helps clients understand how their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors influence one another. It is a goal oriented approach that helps develop skills and strategies clients can use in their daily lives. I strive to create an environment where clients can build confidence, strengthen coping skills, and work towards creating meaningful, lasting change.

Motivational Interviewing

My approach utilizes Motivational Interviewing (MI) to help clients resolve ambivalence and strengthen motivation for behavior change. I use guided conversation to allow for clients to explore their own reasons and goals for change. Together, we will move through uncertainty to readiness for action by exploring pros and cons of a behavior, identify personal goals, strengthen confidence in the ability to change, and move forward with small, realistic next steps and goals.

Strength-Based

My approach integrates Strength-Based Therapy which is a collaborative, client-centered approach that focuses on identifying a client's existing abilities, resources, and protective factors and building on what is already working in your life. Interventions are goal-directed and focus on what has worked in managing past challenges and how those skills can be applied to current goals while creating sustainable behavior change and increasing confidence and hope.
