I want to empower people to manage anxiety and change the negative thought trains that are often barriers to battling depression. By working together, we can tackle problems, take small steps to achieve goals & celebrate the positive results! We'll use a strengths-based perspective, putting you in charge of this journey. I especially enjoy working with young adults or anyone going through life transitions & walking along with those dealing with the grief/loss of someone or a pet. Whether you're overwhelmed, experiencing relationship conflicts, or cycles of anxiety and depression, I'm ready to help. It's a brave first step to seek therapy and the changes you make will be worth it! I will treat you with respect & show compassion in combination with truth, and use evidence-based techniques so you can overcome the barriers that have kept you from moving forward in your life. Hello, I'm Liesa. If you're feeling stuck in your feelings, old habits, old ways of thinking, etc., your body may be telling you that you're ready for change. If you're new to therapy or had a bad therapy experience in the past, however, finding the right therapist to support you can be overwhelming. We’re meant to experience many emotions; the problem comes when we’re immobilized by them, we only feel the difficult ones, or when our thoughts and feelings keep us from living our values. If a therapist promises you that therapy will “fix” you, and they have the formula to achieve 100% happiness - I advise you to run or roll (for my wheelchair-using friends!) past their bios. I won’t promise to “fix” you because I don't believe you are broken. I’ve had the honor of working with people who have experienced unimaginable loss and pain, and not one of them needed to be fixed. Good therapy helps you to understand what is most important to you, and to live a life that reflects that. You are the expert on you, and I will use my training and experience to support your growth.

I provide a safe environment and build trusting relationships so that skills can be taught to help clients alleviate symptoms of stress, anxiety and depression. The goal is for clients to learn skills and methods to help alleviate pain, promote healing and have a variety of strategies at “their fingertips” as they encounter unpleasant, difficult emotions and situations. I bring skills and strategies to the counseling process to promote positive outcomes, and positive feelings and thoughts for clients. Clients may be trying to overcome anxiety, anger, and/or depression, or want to work on communication and relationship skills. I am here to help guide you through the process. My experience includes providing therapy in medical behavioral health centers, community behavioral centers, online platforms, school settings, and universities. Through my work, I know how important it is to build mutual respect and trust between the client and therapist. Positive rapport must be developed for both the client and therapist to meet goals and reach success. Taking the first step toward therapy can be very difficult. I want to provide you with an open, trusting, caring space for you to learn, heal and grow. Let's work together!

Hi there, I'm Catherine. Are you suffering from a broken heart? Did a divorce, or the end of a romantic relationship cause it? Or have you experienced a chronic illness, pet loss, death due to suicide, homicide or overdose? Grief is a person’s response to loss, entailing emotions, thoughts and behaviors as well as physiological changes. Grief is permanent after we lose someone close though it’s manifestations are variable both within and between people. We focus on promoting healing milestones and addressing stuck points in adapting to loss using active listening and personalized interventions with specific tools to help you cope with the loss. My approach to therapy is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), in which clients are taught to recognize how their thoughts are contributing to their distress, and through cognitive and behavioral approaches, are challenged to apply coping skills in situations where they are exposed to stress. Generally, some disruption within your personal system, such as an illness, loss, or death, brings you to therapy. Examining the relationships that are in your everyday life—friends, family, and communities—help determine where you would like to focus to give you better coping skills. It is my hope that you will allow me the opportunity to walk with you through your grief and or traumatic loss. I am here as a guide to help you navigate and teach you how to cope with the loss with supportive guidance every step of the way. I look forward to walking with you through this journey of healing from loss.

Whatever your needs, I am an experienced licensed mental health counselor who works with those struggling with relationship issues, grief, trauma, mood disorders, boundaries, anxiety, depression, daily life struggles etc. Therapy is a process of growth and self-discovery. Hi, I'm Shannon! As a counselor, it is my top priority to create an environment that fosters a healthy therapeutic alliance. This is the most critical component of client success, and my greatest professional joy. I believe that we already have the answers we are seeking. Using the support of another person to explore oneself and find the answers together is an extraordinary part of the human experience. The habits we develop, no matter how maladaptive, were established to protect us. I strive to help individuals honor the coping mechanisms that were created, while simultaneously recognizing when these habits no longer serve us. You have the capacity to heal.

Do you feel stuck in a pattern that is negatively impacting your overall wellness? Just as important as the "why" is the "what" aspect of the mind. What we think, what we feel and what we believe are all intertwined with our behavior. Exploring the thoughts and beliefs that underpin certain actions can lead to profound self-awareness and personal growth. In my interactions with clients, I have witnessed the transformative power of uncovering and challenging deep-seated beliefs that no longer serve them. While patterns and commonalities may emerge among individuals, it is crucial to remember that each person's mind is a unique landscape. What works for one may not work for another, and it is my duty as a clinician to adapt the plan of care accordingly. As a therapist and health coach, I incorporate a holistic (mind/body) approach.
