I look forward to hearing your story.
As a child, I always wanted to pursue a career where I could assist with an individual’s growth, creativity and happiness. I learned at a young age the struggles that life can bring, not only through the inevitable, but also through situational traumas that we at times have to face and endure. Being an active member in the clinical field of helping professionals, I have certainly learned the importance of patience, empathy and peace. Identifying and securing ones’ purpose in life, creates the true masterpiece of one’s story. My goal is to assist you in your journey to self-actualization.
We live in a fast passed society, and it can be hard to keep up with all of our various life roles and responsibilities. I am a social worker by trade, and I have been a licensed clinician for over 21 years. I offer my clients a safe space to express their feelings, get to know themselves on a deeper level, and learn skills to take control of their thoughts and emotions. I guide my clients at their own pace to define and achieve their therapy goals. I believe that all people have it within themselves to optimize their own growth and success in all areas of life. Guiding you in your effort to achieve your definition of personal success and satisfaction is the ultimate objective.
I bring extensive experience from various settings, including treatment centers, community programs, group therapy, and correctional facilities, where I've had the privilege of working with adolescents, young adults, and adults. My approach is rooted in evidence-based therapies, tailored to support meaningful behavioral changes. I deeply understand the mental health challenges that can emerge from incarceration and the unique stressors that accompany the journey of rebuilding life afterward.
I’m also dedicated to supporting the family members and loved ones of those struggling with addiction or incarceration, helping them navigate their own emotional journeys with compassion and care. Additionally, I work closely with parents and families of children with complex behavioral issues, providing guidance and support to help them create a nurturing environment for their child’s growth and well-being.

Hello, I am Beatriz Gonzalez and I am a Latina LCSW.
I specialize in trauma-based work utilizing short and long-term case management/counseling services. I have worked with individuals and families to provide specific intensive case management and behavioral health services. I am bilingual in Spanish/English and enjoy working with a diverse population.
I have years of experience working with adults and adolescents that are struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, life-transitions, relationship, grief, and other stressors. I am aware that beginning the therapy journey can come with a variety of mixed feelings and emotions, but DON'T WORRY! During my work, I always put the client's needs first and will work alongside you at the pace you are comfortable with. I strive to help my clients foster awareness and gain insight into their inner emotions. My hope is that clients will gain a new outlook and feel empowered to make changes.
I believe therapy can be effective when it is built on a relationship of trust, acceptance, and commitment to change. I employ evidenced-based professional counseling methods and invite individuals to integrate their own perspective, values, and goals into each session. If you are seeking healing and hope that will last, I would be honored to help you on your journey.
Life can look completely fine on the outside while feeling heavy, overwhelming, or exhausting on the inside. If you’re the one who holds everything together but feels anxious, burned out, or disconnected from yourself, you don’t have to carry it alone.
I work with adults who are tired of just pushing through and ready for genuine support. In therapy, I show up as a real person first- someone who understands that life is messy, timelines don’t always make sense, and stress, self-doubt, and overwhelm are part of being human. As both a licensed therapist and a U.S. Air Force Veteran, I understand pressure, responsibility, and what it’s like to always be the “strong one.”
My approach is warm, steady, and honest. You don’t need to have everything figured out to start. We’ll take things one step at a time—making sense of what’s been weighing on you and building practical, realistic tools you can actually use in daily life to feel calmer, more grounded, and more like yourself again.
I especially enjoy working with adults who feel stuck, overwhelmed, or stretched thin by work, relationships, caregiving, or major life transitions. Therapy with me isn’t just about talking-it’s about finding relief, understanding patterns, and creating changes that feel doable and sustainable.
This is a space where you can finally exhale, feel understood, and reconnect with yourself. I currently have daytime openings this week for adults who are ready for support. If therapy has been on your mind, this may be the right time to take that step.
I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over 18 years of experience working with individuals, couples, families, and groups. My approach is compassionate, down-to-earth, and deeply relational—I believe therapy works best when clients feel truly seen, supported, and understood.

I draw from a range of evidence-based models, always meeting clients where they are and walking alongside them as they build insight, strengthen relationships, and create meaningful change.
In addition to my clinical work, I’m passionate about teaching and mentoring future therapists, supporting veterans and their families, and helping people reconnect with purpose, faith, and resilience in everyday life. Clients often tell me they appreciate my balanced style—professional yet approachable, structured yet genuine, and always focused on what matters most to them.

Hello! I’m a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) based in Illinois. I have worked in the mental health field for seventeen years in both hospital and outpatient settings. This experience includes work in direct patient care, program development, and in hospital administration in a clinical director role.
I also have taught coursework in psychology and human development in a university setting, and worked in an administrative capacity in secondary education in the state of Illinois. My educational background includes a Masters in Clinical Psychology and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership. My clinical approach brings behavioral intervention and education together in a clinical setting. I enjoy using psychoeducation as a foundation for treatment. That means I like to focus on educating the patient on their symptoms/diagnosis so we can collaborate on a treatment plan that they understand and makes sense for their life circumstance. If people understand why they experience the symptoms they have and how their body responds to stressors; it can give them the insight necessary to build skills to cope in a healthy and effective way.

I’m a therapist focused on men’s mental health with a special emphasis in addiction recovery. In plain English: I help men who are overwhelmed, burned out, or stuck in habits they swear they’re quitting… next week. I’m here to help you break patterns that don’t work—even the ones you’ve been stubbornly loyal to.
If addiction, compulsive behaviors, anxiety, depression, or relationship stress are running your life like a chaotic group project, we’ll work together to take the wheel back. My approach is part strategy, part straight talk, and part humor—because if we can’t laugh at the mess sometimes, the mess wins. And honestly—if you just need to talk about Wednesday, we can do that too.
Together, we’ll dig into what’s behind your patterns, build coping skills that actually work, and help you stop self-destructing out of sheer habit. We’ll also tackle distractions and develop real self-love—two surprisingly powerful tools for becoming the guy you meant to be. And no, self-love is not as weird as it sounds.
I offer in person Visits Sundays and Mondays.

What happens when our well-intentioned - yet sometimes uncooperative - brains try to protect us from experiencing harm? Yup, you got it! It's called Stress, also known as Anxiety, and at times it can be quite the nuisance. You are welcome to join me on a journey of knowledge and self-discovery to recognize and appreciate how our brain and bodies have helped us survive the personal challenges and struggles life presents. And then, let's help our brain recognize that, when we are actually safe, we don't need to go into stress mode, and we can learn how to direct Anxiety to take a seat until it is next needed.
Often times, Anxiety's friends, Depression and Trauma, love to join the party (uninvited). Together, we can learn to appreciate them as well, while sending them on their way.
Along the way, let's tap into a bit of Grace and Self-Compassion. Let's also identify the multitude of Strengths and Resources in place, and use them to move from a Fear-Based response, to one of Courage.
