About me

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Certified Addictions Counselor with extensive experience supporting adults and families through anxiety, depression, grief and loss, trauma, relationship concerns, substance-use challenges, life transitions, and everyday stress. I provide a culturally responsive, compassionate, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel heard, respected, and supported. My approach incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), grief therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Therapy, mindfulness, and strengths-based, trauma-informed care. I help clients process loss at their own pace, honor their experiences, and develop healthy ways to adjust to life after significant change. Through ACT, clients learn to approach difficult thoughts and emotions with greater awareness and acceptance while taking meaningful steps toward a life guided by their values. Together, we will strengthen coping skills, increase emotional flexibility, and work toward healing and sustainable change.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

During our first session, we will discuss what brings you to therapy, the concerns affecting your daily life, and what you hope to accomplish. I will ask questions to better understand your experiences, strengths, support system, and current needs. We will begin developing treatment goals together and identify an approach that feels comfortable, realistic, and meaningful to you.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I bring warmth, empathy, clinical experience, and a practical, strengths-based perspective to each session. My approach is collaborative and individualized, recognizing that every client’s experiences and needs are different. I integrate evidence-based interventions with genuine compassion, helping clients better understand their thoughts, emotions, and behavioral patterns. My goal is to create a safe space where clients feel empowered to build confidence, strengthen coping skills, improve relationships, and make sustainable changes.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My clients are individuals who may feel overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, stuck, or uncertain about how to move forward. They may be navigating anxiety, depression, grief and loss, trauma, relationship difficulties, substance-use concerns, major life transitions, low self-esteem, or challenges with managing emotions and stress. They are seeking a safe, compassionate space where they can feel heard without judgment, better understand their experiences, and develop practical tools for change. My clients do not need to have everything figured out—they only need a willingness to begin. Together, we work toward greater self-awareness, healthier coping skills, improved relationships, emotional healing, and a life that feels more balanced, purposeful, and aligned with their values.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I have used CBT in my practice for quite some time. It has helped many clients challenge reoccurring thoughts and manage their anxiety. We will use CBT to identify how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors influence each other. We’ll then use that knowledge to change your thinking patterns; by doing this it will assist in clear thinking.

Motivational Interviewing

I use Motivational Interviewing to provide a supportive, nonjudgmental space where clients can explore mixed feelings about change. Through reflective listening and collaborative conversation, I help clients identify their personal values, strengths, and reasons for moving forward. This approach builds confidence, supports informed decision-making, and helps clients develop realistic goals that feel personally meaningful and achievable.
