I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with an integrative approach to my work. My specialties include Cognitive Behavioral therapy, anxiety, grief, art therapy, stress management, mindfulness and guided imagery. I have a collaborative client-centered approach, which is warm, safe, empathetic and non-judgmental. I help you discover your own insight, cultivate strengths and find meaning and purpose for a more balanced life.
As a clinician, I am dedicated to achieving results for my clients. I believe my clients can find their best solutions, and my job is to help them navigate towards these goals. I take a collaborative approach, working together with my clients to explore and distinguish difficult emotions and their underlying story. Once my client has a good understanding of where they’ve been and where they are, we can work together to plot a course towards where they want to me.
My approach to providing therapy is relationship-based and holistic. I use a mixture of techniques uniquely tailored to each individual and their struggles. My goal is to help increase your resiliency, support you in clearing hurdles, and build on the strengths you already have within you to reach a better state of wellness. My areas of interest and experience include supporting those struggling with systemic and judicial oppression, trauma, depression, anxiety, family stress, mood disorders, ADHD, and life transitions. I use techniques from CBT/DBT, mindfulness, attachment theory, Brainspotting, neuroscience, and psychodynamic exploration.
My guidance and approach are deeply shaped by the perspective I have gained throughout my time living in Texas, Florida, Chicago, and California as well as working with individuals across different cultures and socio-economic classes. I deeply value self-care and autonomy and seek to help my clients find their inner strength.
Your past experiences, whether they be successes or failures, do not define who you are, and I’m excited to help you become the best version of yourself.
I am not only a therapist but a real person. Everyone struggles with mood and thoughts and sometimes we all need help navigating the intensity of these experiences. I hope to be a guide for you as you walk through whatever challenges are keeping you from moving forward. This process will be challenging and will take work, however if you take away one thing from reading this, it is that you are not alone and there are people out there waiting to offer help.

I'm Kristen & I've spent decades helping others navigate through the difficult times in their life. It's been one of the pleasures of my work, watching individuals flourish into the healthiest adult versions of themselves. It was my own personal traumas and difficulties experienced earlier in life that originally set me on this path of whole person wellness and personal recovery. As a result, I integrate biological, psychological and spiritual components in my work with clients, at which ever level they are comfortable with.
Therapy should be a safe place where you can debrief, process your thoughts, find clarity and work out issues without any judgement or negativity. My approach has always been client centered-working through presenting problems that affect day-to-day activities. I believe individuals should feel comfortable, supported, respected and valued when seeking help during vulnerable times.

Prospective clients are those who are attempting to navigate living in a society that profiles, polices, and dehumanizes People of Color and immigrant bodies. Culturally rooted and trauma aware. A therapist who "gets it" without the need to explain culture or values. More specifically, I want to create a safe space and invite individuals who are being racially profiled and targeted in public spaces, anxiety tied to immigration status, racial/cultural trauma, emotional impact of racism/deportation fears, shame/guilt, hypervigilance, depression, emotional numbness, family pressure, people pleasing, perfectionism, made to feel as they are "not good enough", feeling responsible for everyone's emotions, cultural identity, internalized shame or silence around your culture/identity/or needs, family expectations, or intergenerational trauma. You may feel torn between cultures, exhausted by the need to explain yourself or burdened by stories and silence that were passed down to you. You are NOT broken, you have been surviving utilizing survival responses, passed down out of love, pain and necessity.

Hi, I'm Yang. And I'm here to help you heal from self-abandonment and emotional dysregulation.
Self-abandonment occurs when we struggle to stand up for our needs and live by our authentic values; often, we don't even know what they are. Those who struggle with self-abandonment don't feel like they know who they really are, and what they want, and often feel directionless and ungrounded. We feel small, afraid, anxious, aggressive and dependent on others.
Emotional dysregulation occurs when we don't understand our emotions and how to manage them. They control us, instead of the other way around. We behave in ways we wish we didn't, and we build up shame around those behaviors as if they are who we are. We cannot separate our emotions from who we are.
These issues often lie at the heart of different mental health struggles, such as depression, anxiety, as well as many relationship challenges. The good news is that resolving these, therefore, can potentially lead to ripple effects of change in your life.
Hello, I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 10 years of experience in helping those in need of healing and coping with life issues and struggles that may interfere with daily living. My therapy approach is to build a relationship with my clients and create a safe space to allow clients to feel comfortable enough and trust in when sharing difficult emotions.
Hello, I'm a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in California. My approach to therapy is person-centered and psychodynamic, and I use various modalities to help people become more connected to their true selves. My goal is to offer a supportive environment where people can fully express themselves, gain insight, and take steps toward healing and personal growth.
In therapy, I work with people to explore, make sense of, and identify how their upbringing may be contributing to problems in living. This awareness can lead to healing and be a catalyst for change. I also use mindfulness-based CBT to help people become aware of and challenge thoughts that aren’t true and are contributing to depression, anxiety and low self-esteem.
