Hello, my name is Jennifer. I have experience dealing with various issues. My past experience includes but is not limited to depression, anxiety, trauma, and grief. I focus on client centered goals to help you achieve what you are looking for. Together, we can work towards finding the best possible way for you to better your situation. Whether you're dealing with a specific problem or ongoing issues, I'm here to help. In focusing on what you want and need, this allows you to take control of your therapy and use this time to heal and grow. Deciding on therapy is a great step towards working towards your needs. Some of the modalities I have experience in are, but not limited to, psychodynamic therapy, solution focused therapy, trauma informed care, and providing psychoeducation. I look forward to meeting you.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Our first session will be an intake session focused on understanding why you are seeking therapy and getting information on psychosocial stressors affecting you. Each session after will focus on goals and/or any current crisis.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I have worked in various settings and various levels of acuity. I have supported people individually and in group settings. I have worked in psychiatric hospitals, acute hospitals, and certified to assess for psychiatric hospitalization. I have worked with people suffering from anxiety, depression, abuse, bipolar, PTSD or trauma, grief, attachment issues, life transitions, and lack of coping skills.

My treatment methods

Psychoeducation

It is important for clients to understand their psychological problems and how to properly manage them.

Psychodynamic

This technique is utilized often with clients to understand how the subconscious thoughts, feelings, and memories are affecting their current behavior. This will promote positive coping and achieving therapeutic goals.

Trauma Informed Care

I have had training and experience treating and educating clients with a history of trauma. Understanding the cause and effects of past trauma can assist in improving quality of life and reducing symptoms.
