As a culturally competent therapist, I provide inclusive, affirming care for California residents seeking support in navigating life’s challenges. My approach is integrative and person-centered, blending evidence-based and experiential methods to honor each client’s unique story. I offer virtual sessions in English and Spanish, making therapy accessible and comfortable for clients from diverse backgrounds. PLEASE NOTE: I am not currently taking on couples at this time.
In our first session, you can expect a welcoming, collaborative space where your experiences and goals are respected. We’ll discuss what brings you to therapy, explore your hopes for our work together, and begin to identify strengths and resources that support your well-being. I’ll answer any questions about the process, ensuring you feel informed and empowered from the start.
Clients appreciate my ability to create a safe, inclusive environment where all backgrounds and identities are respected. I draw from a range of evidence-based therapies (including DBT, IFS, Somatic Experiencing, and CBT) to tailor our work to your needs. My commitment to cultural competence and ongoing learning helps me provide care that is both effective and affirming. Bilingual support in English and Spanish is available for those who prefer it.
I work best with high-functioning adults who may appear successful on the outside but feel overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected internally. Many are navigating anxiety, depression, burnout, identity exploration, or relationship challenges. They’re often insightful and motivated for change, but struggle to translate that awareness into lasting relief. Together, we focus on building emotional balance, deepening self-understanding, and creating more authentic, fulfilling relationships and lives.
Dialectical Behavior (DBT)
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a type of talk therapy (psychotherapy). It’s based on cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), but it’s specially adapted for people who experience emotions very intensely. This can often lead to emotional dysregulation that presents in extreme behaviors such as aggression or complete avoidance and shutting down. DBT focuses on helping people accept the reality of their lives and their behaviors, as well as helping them learn to change their lives, including their unhelpful behaviors. I utilize DBT skills in sessions as they become applicable to any challenges the client is wanting to overcome. Each session will cover a new DBT skill that will allow the client to function in a more skillful, effective manner so that they can achieve any, and all, life goals they've set for themselves.

I've only had one session so far, but I really felt like Marco is gonna be a good fit for me. He listened to what my issues were, and listened without judgement. He addressed each of my problems with authentic feedback. I am looking forward to working with Marco and getting more help.
