As a culturally competent therapist, I provide inclusive, affirming care for California residents seeking support in navigating life’s challenges. My approach is integrative and person-centered, blending evidence-based and experiential methods to honor each client’s unique story. I offer virtual sessions in English and Spanish, making therapy accessible and comfortable for clients from diverse backgrounds. PLEASE NOTE: I am not currently taking on couples at this time.

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a type of talk therapy (psychotherapy). It’s based on cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), but it’s specially adapted for people who experience emotions very intensely. This can often lead to emotional dysregulation that presents in extreme behaviors such as aggression or complete avoidance and shutting down. DBT focuses on helping people accept the reality of their lives and their behaviors, as well as helping them learn to change their lives, including their unhelpful behaviors. I utilize DBT skills in sessions as they become applicable to any challenges the client is wanting to overcome. Each session will cover a new DBT skill that will allow the client to function in a more skillful, effective manner so that they can achieve any, and all, life goals they've set for themselves.

I loved working with Marco. He is authentic and non-judgemental. He challenged me when needed, provided me with tools I needed, and followed my pace.

Marco is easy to work with, no matter how challenging the task. He really cares and is very patient. I felt the compassion and care. I was so tired of being burden on others with all my needs, and I never once felt like I was a burden to him. I look forward to working with him again in the future.
