Hello, I was born and raised in Stockton, California. I enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps at the age of 17 and in 1997, after 25 yeas of service, I retired from the Marine Corps as a Master Sergeant. After retiring from the Marine Corps, I worked as a Farrier (Horseshoer), as well as a structural welder (Ironworker), as those were the most marketable skill that I had. I came to a point where old injuries came back to haunt me and I could no longer walk (several years later, thanks to a surgery through the VA, I can walk again; thankful for that). At this point, I changed professions and out of a desire to work with veterans, I returned to school, accomplishing all that was necessary to become a licensed counselor. I spent another career working for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, specifically as a counselor in the Readjustment Counseling Service (Vet Center). I recently retired from the Vet Center and now I work part-time here with Grow Therapy. As a retired Marine senior staff Non-Commissioned Officer (SNCO) and disabled combat veteran myself, the Vet Center was the perfect job. Vet Centers provide readjustment counseling to combat veterans and provide counseling to survivors of military sexual trauma (MST). Vet Centers also provide group counseling, bereavement counseling and couples counseling when this is determined to be of support to the veteran. Readjustment counseling many times consists of treating/addressing symptoms related to post-traumatic stress (PTSD), I.e., anxiety, depression, exaggerated startle response, hypervigilance, sleep disturbance, etc. Many veterans go on to work as first responders and working with many first responders as well as medical personal, has provided me with a great deal of additional experience.

Therapy is a place where you can show up as you are, without judgment or pressure to have everything figured out. My goal is to create a space where you feel safe enough to be honest, understood enough to explore difficult experiences, and supported enough to create meaningful change. My name is Arakel Aristakessian, MS, LPCC, NCC, CCMHC, a licensed therapist with experience in community mental health, higher education counseling, and rehabilitation settings. I earned my bachelor's degrees in Social Welfare and Spanish Language & Literature from UC Berkeley and my Master of Science in Counseling, with emphases in College Counseling/Student Services and Clinical Counseling, from California State University, Northridge. I work with adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, identity development, family conflict, and major life transitions. As a first-generation American of Armenian immigrants, I understand how culture, family expectations, and identity can shape the way we experience ourselves and our relationships. I provide therapy in English, Spanish, and Armenian, and strive to offer care that is culturally responsive, affirming, and tailored to each person's unique experiences. My communication style is warm, respectful, and collaborative. I aim to create a safe, supportive space where you feel heard and understood. I believe meaningful change begins with understanding the deeper patterns behind our thoughts, emotions, and relationships. My role isn't to judge your past or tell you who you should become, but to help you better understand yourself with curiosity and compassion so that shame loses its power and lasting growth becomes possible.

It allows you to be you, share your thoughts and feelings without judgement, feel safe, gain insight into your thought process, your behaviors, and learn to be in control of your overall experiences. Through your strengths and weaknesses, you will learn to embrace each and every experience, and you will gain the knowledge to make the changes you need to achieve your goals. You will find the power within you to bring fulfillment to your life journey. I am a bilingual (English/Spanish) licensed clinical social worker with over 15 years of experience helping people, couples, and families grow, and learn what they need to have a more fulfilling life experience. Hello. I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with 10 years of licensure and 25 years of experience in social work overall. I've sat with people through some of their hardest moments, first in hospitals and crisis units, then alongside therapists, psychiatrists, and nurses in community mental health, and now in private practice. I specialize in working with adults dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma and PTSD, ADHD, life transitions, burnout, and grief. My approach draws from evidence-based methods including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), somatic work, narrative therapy, and psychodynamic thinking. I pull from whichever approach fits the person and the moment. Our work together can be structured and methodical, creative and intuitive, or a mix of both. Some clients want concrete tools. Others want space to talk things through. Both are welcome, and we adjust the approach to what works for you. People are remarkably specific in their struggles and strengths. The exact way someone shuts down, springs into action, or just endures is worth paying close attention to. I have a "come as you are" mentality. Tired, grumpy, not sure what you want to say, or showing up with a set agenda, all of that is welcome. I don't want anyone to feel like they have to perform. I work with adults throughout California via telehealth and accept a wide range of insurance including Kaiser, Aetna, Cigna, Anthem, Blue Shield, UnitedHealthcare/Optum, and Medi-Cal through Partnership HealthPlan and other managed care plans. ** For more about my background, approach, and the areas I serve, visit joelmorrisonlcsw.com.

You don't need to have it all figured out before you begin — that's okay. I know that first step can feel like the hardest one to take. All you need is the willingness to take it. I help adults who feel overwhelmed by anxiety, trauma, chronic health conditions, pain, or major life changes reconnect with themselves and feel more in control of their lives. I began my social work career in 2006 in medical social work, hospice, and home health, supporting individuals and families through chronic illness, serious health concerns, loss, and difficult transitions. These experiences shaped my understanding of the deep connection between physical health and emotional well-being. I became a mental health provider because I believe everyone deserves to feel heard, understood, supported, and empowered. I'm passionate about helping people regain a sense of themselves, find hope, and develop tools to move forward through trauma, stress, and difficult circumstances. Sometimes life simply becomes too much, and it's okay to say, "This is hard," and ask for help. I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, EMDRIA Certified EMDR Therapist, and EMDRIA Approved Consultant-in-Training. I primarily work with adults navigating life transitions, chronic health conditions, pain, medical trauma, and traumatic experiences. My approach is integrative and individualized, drawing from EMDR, Brainspotting, clinical hypnosis, IFS-informed and parts-based approaches, Ego State Therapy, Imaginal Nurturing, and Deep Brain Reorienting (DBR), tailored to each client's needs and goals. I believe wellness is holistic — we don't get sick one way, and we don't get well one way. Mental and physical health are deeply connected, and I'm here to support your whole-person well-being through counseling, so you can get back to being you and enjoy life again.

Starting therapy can feel like a big step—especially if you’re not totally sure what to say or where to begin. My job is to make that part easier. I’m a licensed therapist who works with people dealing with stress, anxiety, relationship issues, burnout, low motivation, and feeling stuck or overwhelmed. Some clients come in with something specific going on, while others just know something feels off and want to figure it out. Both are completely welcome here. In our work together, we focus on what’s actually happening in your day-to-day life and how to create real, noticeable changes—not just talk in circles. I aim to keep sessions practical, collaborative, and grounded so you leave with clarity and a better sense of direction. Clients often tell me they appreciate having a space where they can be honest without feeling judged or analyzed. You don’t need to have the “right words” or a clear plan before starting—we’ll figure that out together. If you’re looking for therapy that feels straightforward, supportive, and focused on helping you move forward, I’d be glad to work with you.

I'm Danielle Nunes, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in California. I see individual adults throughout the state by telehealth. You lead people, make decisions, and carry responsibility for outcomes that affect other people's livelihoods. That does not stay containedinside the workday. My clients are founders, executives, business owners, physicians, attorneys, and managers who are successful by every outward measure and are carrying more than the people around them realize. They come to me when a hard quarter starts to feel likea verdict on them, when an employee problem sits with them at dinner,or when they know exactly what conversation needs to happen and keep putting it off. I have been licensed since 2017 and have worked in behavioral health for more than a decade. I also spent years leading inside large organizations, responsible for teams, budgets, and outcomes. You will not have to explain why you cannot stop thinking about work.

Are you striving to find satisfaction with your work, life or relationships? Do you want to focus on fixing immediate problems rather than unraveling past hurts? Do you want to build a strong foundation for your current or future relationship? Have you grown tired of being treated like a problem and not a person? I primarily take a narrative approach to counseling. Narrative therapy begins with the premise that you are not the problem; the problem is the problem. The way we see ourselves can be defined by the language that we use. I see my role as a co-author, helping you develop an alternate personal history so that you may move forward with courage and confidence.
