Welcome! I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist based in California. I received my Masters in Counseling from California Lutheran University in 2020. Together we can take the time to understand who you are and why you are feeling the way you are feeling. Then, with that understanding, we can figure out how to move forward so you can flourish again as an individual and in your relationships.
Our first session is typically spent building trust and rapport in the therapeutic relationship. I tend to follow your lead in how much you are comfortable sharing in the first session and move forward from there, creating a pace that is comfortable for you.
I find that creating a space that allows you to be human, strengths, flaws and all, creates a strong foundation for growth. Additionally, allowing the structure of therapy sessions to look like a conversation between friends, with some differences including maintaining appropriate boundaries, providing a non-judgemental and confidential space as well as setting up achievable goals to help your further your growth as a person.
I enjoy working with clients who are motivated, who embrace personal growth and actively integrate the insights gained from therapy into their daily life. They value self-improvement and are eager to explore and address the challenges they face. They are committed to applying therapeutic strategies and open to self-reflection.
I am typically drawn to working from a Person-Centered approach, providing empathy and understanding as well as working to truly meet you where you are at in your healing journey.
