Lost in a sea of therapy choices? I don't blame you. There's a lot of the same out there. I specialize in ISTDP, Intensive, Short-Term Dynamic Psychotherapy. Therapy can very often become slow and repetitive, general and fuzzy. ISTDP was conceived to be different. It's targeted and direct. It's not for everyone, but it is for getting the results you want as swiftly as possible.
No lengthy intakes: From the very first session, we'll hone in on the core of your difficulty in a time-limited framework of up to 12 sessions. Why wait longer for positive change?
Have you been to therapy before but were left underwhelmed? Maybe you are looking for a more dynamic experience.
Maybe you've been to therapy before but were left underwhelmed. Maybe you are seeking palpable and sustainable change? Maybe you'd rather take the direct route than the scenic route even if it's more challenging and sometimes out of your comfort zone. Maybe your body has been telling you something but you're not sure what it is. If so, I am ready to help.

Ken is very adept at recognizing root causes and explaining the relevance of emotional dynamics. He has a way of validating my experience while at the same time being direct. His observations challenge me to stay with, actually feel and unpack my emotions instead of relying on intellectualizing the experiences I bring to the table.
