LPCC, 6 years of experience
Here's a hard truth about psychotherapy: Even with all the different approaches out there, studies tell us it rarely results in lasting positive change for people. That's why I specialize in intensive short-term psychotherapy. It has been shown to help people find the roots of their emotional difficulties, and work through them in briefer time frames. Working session-to-session, each encounter is structured to get the most out of it. We can get clarity on your troubles in the very first meeting. Why wait years for greater peace of mind if you don't have to?
Before you solve any problem, you first need to understand it clearly. Our first task will be to get a very clear and specific shared picture of the problem you are currently experiencing, and how it is impacting your quality of life. Even if you've lived with a problem for many years, this is very often a new experience for clients.
In session, you will notice I am compassionate, focused, and direct. I will challenge you to cut through the background noise and go deeper. I will stay with you every step of the way, wherever it leads us.
Have you been to therapy before but were left underwhelmed? Are you looking for more than just coping skills and supportive listening? If so, maybe you're looking for a different therapy experience. Is it more challenging? Yes. Is it worth it? Honestly, there's only one way to find out.
Together we will pay close attention to your moment-to-moment experience in a curious, non-judgemental way.
Effective treatment must address mind and body in session as they are inextricably linked.
Parts work can bring additional value and impact to the therapy session.
