Shelly Ware
I'm a licensed therapist who specializes in working with women who are experiencing anxiety, depression, or who find themselves in confusing or hurtful relationships. I enjoy psychology and mental health because I believe emotional well-being is just as important as physical health, and the two are deeply connected.
I'm a licensed therapist who specializes in working with women who are experiencing anxiety, depression, or who find themselves in confusing or hurtful relationships.
It is meaningful to me to support clients as they begin to understand themselves more fully, develop greater self-awareness, and recognize their own strengths. I value being part of the process as clients gain insight, build confidence, and feel more empowered to make changes in their lives.
First session
Our first session will be an assessment full of background questions about your life, experiences and what brought you to therapy. We will collaborate to create a treatment plan that will support you in attaining goals to reduce uncomfortable symptoms and or improve the quality of your life.
Strengths
What stands out about my approach is my ability to combine compassion with structure. I use evidence-based interventions such as CBT, ACT, and Brainspotting, and I develop individualized treatment plans based on each client’s needs. I also monitor progress over time to ensure therapy remains focused, effective, and aligned with client goals.
Ideal clients
I am particularly well-positioned to support women who are navigating life transitions, anxiety, depression, trauma, or relationships that feel confusing, painful, or emotionally draining. I strive to offer a compassionate, supportive space where clients can feel heard and understood, build self-trust, gain clarity, and begin creating healthier patterns in their lives and relationships. My goal is to help clients feel more grounded, empowered, and hopeful as they move toward meaningful change.
Treatment methods
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use CBT, along with a few mindfulness-based treatment methods, to help clients stay accountable for practicing new skills and habits. I also use CBT to help my clients develop greater insight into how their thoughts may be impacting them in their daily lives.
Brainspotting
I use Brainspotting to help clients work through difficult emotions, ambiguity, and uncertainty so they can feel more grounded and clear.
