As a bicultural therapist, I have been afforded the opportunity to put into practice the ability to help my clients grow using western based therapeutic practices as well as incorporating non-traditional approaches that promote healing from trauma as well as reduction in symptoms of anxiety and depression. I have counseling experience working with families and children, LGBTQIA2S individuals, new medical diagnosis, chronic medical conditions, and grief & loss. My approach in helping individuals achieve healing involves using different mediums to help promote self discovery, self acceptance and creating healthy boundaries for self-preservation.
You can expect a non-judgmental approach to listening to current stressors/activators and an empathetic approach to developing a collaborative plan for your healing journey.
Living as a bicultural individual has helped me understand the importance of breaking unhealthy intergenerational cycles that can seem daunting to dismantle. I have helped individuals forge healing journeys that can help address adverse life experiences ranging from past suicide attempts, break-ups, anxiety, depression to exploring self-identity.
I focus on working with LGBTQIA2S individuals, Youth, and Adults.
