I am a Black/African American woman from the Tri-State area offering well over 15 years of experience in the mental health arena. I have developed a specialty in building a strong, in-depth rapport with clients where they walk away knowing that I get them, that I understand who they are, and as a result, we end up doing some powerful work together. In addition to being a therapist, I have an MBA, and this has allowed me to work well with clients who are in the business, finance, and corporate sectors as they navigate intricate work-related stress issues.
The first few sessions will be easy going - we are both getting to know each other. I will ask some specific questions about your life experience, symptoms, and goals, and we can explore/address pressing issues/concerns as expressed/requested. Developing a therapeutic rapport is essential to the process/journey and will support you in meeting therapeutic goals.
My priority when working with clients is to make sure that they know they are valued in our work together and I will navigate all those sacred places and spaces with them providing guidance, empowerment, and support. Together we will Harmonize your emotions/mind, Visualize your potential, Realize your goals, and Actualize your authentic self.
These days, "life be lifing!” If you're dealing with personal, relational, or professional challenges, anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, chronic stress and/or navigating an STI diagnosis like Herpes, HPV, and/or HIV, finding a therapist who blends experience, skill, empathy, grace, compassion and humor when needed, will help you focus on healing, growth, and renewal in an environment free of judgement. I walk with my clients as they navigate the journey of life – you are not alone!
An opportunity to reframe thoughts using new perspective to change behavior/experience.
My lived and professional experience offers clients from marginalized populations an opportunity to be seen and heard authentically and without judgement.
