New to Grow
Hello, my name is Rosario Carmona. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I am passionate about encouraging people in meeting their individual and collective goals. I am deeply committed to creating an inclusive, safe and secure environment to foster support. My clinical approach encompasses respect, empathy, equality, non-discriminatory, and a deep understanding of cultural differences and respect of practices. In my clinical work, I integrate several evidence-based modalities (including but not limited to) Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavior Therapy (TF-CBT), Emotion Focus Therapy (EFT), Gottman Method Couples Therapy, Dialectic Behavioral Therapy (DBT), family systems interventions, client-centered therapy, and solution-focused therapy to support stabilization, rehabilitation, education, and both short- and long-term healing. I have a Master of Science in Counseling with an emphasis on School Counseling and Marriage and Family Therapy. I have a broad range of experience and knowledge including (but not limited to) Depression, Anxiety, Trauma, Disruptive Behaviors, Self-Injurious Behaviors, Suicidal Ideation, Grief, children, adolescents, young adults, Individual Therapy, and Family Therapy.
During our initial session, you can expect a collaborative and supportive environment where we will begin getting to know one another. We will discuss your current concerns, explore your reasons for seeking therapy, and identify goals for treatment. There will be opportunities for you to ask questions, share what you hope to gain from therapy, and discuss expectations for the therapeutic relationship. We will also review important topics such as confidentiality, the therapy process, and any information needed to ensure we create a treatment plan that aligns with your needs and goals.
My goal is to foster a safe, supportive, and empowering environment where clients, families, and collaborators feel heard and respected. I am committed to providing ethical, culturally responsive, and trauma-informed care while supporting individuals and families through complex mental health challenges. I continuously seek opportunities to expand my clinical knowledge and therapeutic skills to enhance the quality of care I provide to better serve your individual therapeutic needs.
As a clinician, I have provided telehealth therapy to adolescents, young adults, and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, life transitions, relationship concerns, grief, trauma-related symptoms, ADHD, and executive functioning challenges. I effectively engage clients in virtual treatment, leveraging the accessibility and flexibility of telehealth to promote consistent participation, reduce barriers to care, and foster strong therapeutic outcomes. I am particularly drawn to one-on-one work because it allows for individualized, client-centered, and solution-focused care. I am also eager to expand my experience in family systems work through couples, family, and family-centered therapy, while strengthening collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to support clients through a wide range of life challenges and transitions.
