Penny was recommended by a very caring office worker Monica. I felt that due to her kindness , Penny would be someone I should and would seek out. She was everything I was hoping for, and after our visit, I knew I was right where I need to be. I’m excited to begin therapy and I’m hopeful this journey will prove much needed relief and healing for me.

Great first session! She is super no-nonsense and to the point. I felt heard, and like our time was meaningful even just for an intake appointment. Really looking forward to talking again. She’s clearly very caring and considerate.

Penny is amazing and I always look forward to seeing her. She hears me and always gives me perfect solutions.
I have utilized CBT when working with clients, assisting them to gain insight into distorted ways of thinking, helping them gain coping skills to better manage emotions and behaviors.
I currently run a DBT group in a children's clinic that helps high risk clients improve their abilities to manage intense emotions, thus reducing high risk behaviors and suicidal ideation. I use DBT with a variety of clients and find the skills to be helpful.
I have found mindfulness based therapy effective when treating depression. Combining mindfulness and CBT helps clients to gain coping skills and increase present moment awareness.
I have found that understanding a clients experiences with trauma helps to understand how they interact and function in the world.
