I identify as
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
As a Clinician, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a framework I use to assist clients to recognize how automatic thoughts about a real life situation or event can influence feelings, body response, and ultimately how one behaves. It is an effective way for clients to become more aware of automatic thoughts, evaluate and hopefully change them in an effort to diminish and/or eleviate resulting distress (i.e symptoms of anxiety, depression etc).
Motivational Interviewing
Motivational Interviewing is utilized during session to increase service delivery effectiveness by enhancing engagement with, retention of, and long term behavior change of clients. It proves an effective tool to integrate with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
