My background in psychotherapy has been predominantly within community mental health settings. I have worked with a diverse population including homeless, low income, and dual diagnosed individuals. My main area of focus/experience has been working with various youth populations, including those within the school system, homeless/transitional aged youth, and individuals from severe trauma backgrounds. My therapeutic approach is holistic and psychodynamic, emphasizing trauma informed, attachment relations, and narrative components while inviting play, art, and talk therapy in to the supportive atmosphere. I prioritize utilizing therapeutic interventions that tailor to the individual’s needs and goals rather than the other way around. I am currently certified in PC Care (parent child interaction therapy) through UC Davis and am awaiting confirmation of certification in TFCBT (trauma focused cognitive behavioral therapy).
In our first session together, we can begin to build rapport and a working therapeutic relationship, one in which you feel safe to express your authentic and holistic self. In doing so, I intend to help you feel empowered in order to identify and work towards your goals.
Having worked with many young clients from diverse backgrounds and experiences, I have found that my strengths include my authentic presence that values the relational dynamics at play within the therapeutic relationship, my awareness of psychodynamic components and how they may impact one's mental health struggles, and my ability to consistently implement trauma informed approaches in to my work.
While I value working with individuals from a variety of backgrounds and experiences, I have a strong passion for working with young adults and teenagers. I am particularly passionate about working with identity exploration, trauma, depression, and anxiety.

I utilize trauma informed approaches in my therapeutic approach, inviting my clients to incorporate and recover their authentic self/experience through developing somatic awareness, affect modulation, and understanding the psychoeducation components related to the experience of trauma.
I wholeheartedly believe that the therapeutic relationship is the most important in regards to healing and progress in therapy. Given this, I emphasize the importance of exploring attachment needs/style and how to nurture healthy relationships in one's life.
