David Morgan

LPCC (he/him)35 years of experience

I provide individual counseling using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), Trauma Focused CBT (TF-CBT), Solution Focused Brief Counseling (SFBC), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Substance Abuse Counseling to help clients cope more effectively with their anxiety, depression, substance abuse, mood swings, anger, relationships, trauma, grief and life disappointments. The primary goal is to provide trauma-informed and strength-based clinical treatment that appreciates your developmental, social, and cultural life experiences.

First session

The first session with me (or any therapist) will be an intake/behavioral health assessment to get acquainted and learn what areas of your life that you want to improve upon. There are normally brief questionnaires about anxiety and depression that are sent to you ahead of the session. If you have not had a chance to complete them prior to the session we can do so in the session. I want to make people feel accepted and comfortable the very first session so that they want to continue in counseling and make some progress.
