LMFT14 years of experience

Life often gives us opportunities to grow and move toward the person we want to become but it can also bring challenges that leave us feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected from ourselves. I’m deeply passionate about helping clients navigate those moments and reconnect with their sense of purpose, strength, and dignity. Having gone through my own difficult experiences, I understand how hard it can be to find your way forward, and I don’t take lightly the trust it takes to begin this work. My approach is grounded in a person-centered, humanistic perspective, meaning I see each client as unique, capable, and deserving of respect. I view therapy as a collaborative process, where we work together to build insight, resilience, and meaningful change.

First session

In our first session, my goal is to create a space where you feel comfortable, heard, and understood. We’ll take time to talk about what’s bringing you in, what you’ve been going through, and what you hope to get out of therapy. There’s no pressure to share everything all at once, we’ll go at a pace that feels right for you. I’ll also begin to understand your background, strengths, and the patterns that may be impacting your current situation. Most importantly, this is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and start building a foundation of trust and collaboration.

Strengths

One of my greatest strengths is my ability to connect with clients in an authentic and grounded way while also helping them make sense of complex emotional experiences. I bring experience working with individuals and families across a wide range of concerns, including family conflict, identity struggles, trauma, addiction, and chronic mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety, PTSD, bipolar disorder, and substance use. I balance empathy with structure offering both a supportive presence and practical tools to help clients move forward. I take a strength-based approach, helping clients recognize their resilience while guiding them toward meaningful, lasting change.

Ideal clients

I tend to work best with adults who have a level of self-awareness and are genuinely motivated to make changes in their lives. These are clients who are open to reflecting on their patterns, willing to have honest conversations, and ready to take an active role in their growth—even when it feels uncomfortable at times. They don’t have to have everything figured out, but they are curious about themselves and committed to the process. I value working collaboratively with clients who are open to feedback, interested in building insight, and willing to practice new ways of thinking, feeling, and relating both inside and outside of sessions.

Treatment methods

Attachment-based

My therapeutic approach is grounded in attachment-based principles, with a focus on understanding how early relational experiences shape current emotional patterns, beliefs, and interpersonal dynamics. I work collaboratively with clients to explore their attachment history and identify how these patterns may influence their relationships, sense of self, and coping strategies. Through a safe, consistent, and attuned therapeutic relationship, I aim to foster emotional security, increase self-awareness, and support clients in developing healthier ways of connecting with others. I integrate reflective questioning, emotional processing, and skill-building to help clients move from patterns of reactivity or avoidance toward greater trust, vulnerability, and relational balance.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT is also a big part of how I work with clients, especially when it comes to making sense of how thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are all connected. I like to help clients slow things down and notice the patterns in their thinking—especially the ones that may be keeping them stuck or feeling overwhelmed. From there, we work together to gently challenge those thoughts and find more balanced, realistic ways of seeing things. I keep the process practical and collaborative, focusing on building tools that clients can actually use in their day-to-day lives to manage stress, regulate emotions, and feel more in control.

EMDR

EMDR is something I use when clients feel stuck in experiences that still carry a strong emotional charge, even if they happened a long time ago. I help clients gently access and process those memories in a way that feels safe and manageable, rather than overwhelming. The goal isn’t to erase the past, but to help the brain reprocess it so it no longer feels as intense or controlling. I move at the client’s pace, making sure there’s enough grounding and support along the way, and I often see clients begin to feel relief, clarity, and a shift in how they view themselves and their experiences.
