(she/her)
I have been trained as a psychoanalytic psychotherapist. Learning about this modality has helped me understand the various dynamics that make up who we are and how we got there. So that our past histories provide important clues to our strengths as well as to sources of our dissatisfactions Following the histories of my patients makes my work very engaging and is why I have continued my work for so long. Besides the interesting material generated in our sessions, the nature of the bond between the patient and the therapist also co the treatment
The first session is like gathering puzzle pieces for general demographics about you. It will also provide room for you to ask questions about the treatment and even a short "demo" about what the sessions will be like.
I feel that my greatest strength is the modality that I have studied. I find it very compelling and gratifying as I witness patients grow and change. And this interest has encouraged me to remain as a provider for a long time and earn a great deal of experience in the service of my patients.
Patients who are best suited to this modality are ones who like to talk and are interested in how this kind of therapy works
