I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) from New Jersey and have been practicing for 24 years. My specialty is working with children and adolescents but love working with adults as well. I believe that therapy is important and helps all people process their thoughts and emotions which is beneficial in living an authentic life. I challenge their negative thoughts and try to make my clients accept their feelings and make changes so they can overcome what it is they are working on in therapy.
In the first session, we will discuss why you sought out counseling and I will ask you what is the main priority that needs to be met from counseling. I will ask some questions to get some background information and we will move on from there.
As a therapist I am honest and listen to what you feel you need to work on in therapy. I am empathetic to all issues my clients have in their life and I try to have a sense a humor and be genuine to them.
I love working with adolescents and young adults in their 20's. I feel that they are willing to really make changes and express themselves without hesitation.
Changing the way you think is the biggest obstacle in life. So if you can change your mind and change your behavior you will be your authentic self.
Accepting your feelings will change how you think and feel and you can move on and make progress.
