I believe in meeting people where they are, perpetuating meaningful and supportive connection. My specialty includes working with individuals/families that have experienced emotional and physical abandonment and/or are healing from narcissistic abuse in either parental/romantic/sibling relationships. In addition, I work with individuals that are struggling with the following: mood disorders, personality disorders, intimate partner violence; as well as those that have caused harm in relationships, post-traumatic stress disorder, ADHD, betrayal trauma, and substance use disorder. My approach is grounded in trauma-informed care, meaning that I prioritize a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental environment for my clients to explore and process their experiences. I have extensive experience working with individuals that have experienced abuse, neglect, and trauma in addition to the consequences of that trauma.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

I will help you understand your specific trauma responses and how to change them. My goal is to support you in making changes in your life that will lead to positive outcomes and a fulfilling life. It is an honor to be invited into my clients' lives and to work alongside them on their path to greater well-being. With a focus on root causes, not just symptoms, I foster genuine deep healing and understanding.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

Dialectical behavior therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, relational, emotion-focused, mindfulness-based, attachment-based, motivational interviewing, and body awareness. I work collaboratively with my clients, meeting them where they are, to reveal and dismantle the mechanisms that inhibit healthy and meaningful relationships with others, and most importantly, within themselves. Areas of interest include: survivors of intimate partner violence (IPV) and partners who have acted harmfully in relationships, mood disorders, substance use and co-occurring disorders. My goal is to support clients to express themselves and become aware of their own inner strengths. I recognize that therapy is not one-size-fits-all and will work with you to create a tailored treatment plan to fit your individual needs.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I believe in individualized healing; that no two people are the same, but we learn from each other’s stories. We will decide together what works best for you to improve your quality of life, health, and wellness. I have worked in many varied settings and with many different populations including individuals with substance use and co-occurring disorders, survivors of interpersonal violence, trauma and PTSD, personality disorders, mood disorders, anxiety disorders, etc. I believe in trauma-informed treatment and affirming of all identities, including LGBTQ+. I am experienced working with both survivors, as well as partners who have acted harmfully. I hold my clients’ stories with warmth and empathy as we process through pain and move towards healing.
