I am a board-certified psychiatrist by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. He completed his undergraduate degree at UC Berkeley, medical degree at Howard University College of Medicine, and psychiatry residency training at Olive View-UCLA Medical Center. I treat a wide range of complex psychiatric conditions with a primary goal of addressing thought and behavioral patterns that affect relationships with others and self. We will reach this goal through a variety of treatment approaches including pharmacotherapy, psychotherapy, and psychosocial interventions.

A therapeutic approach for patients who have lost meaning in their lives and have difficulty forming or maintaining relationships with others or self. Facilitating emotional insight can help explore survival responses and tendencies to avoid distressing thoughts and feelings. Long term goal is identifying and changing re-occurring patterns within a one's life.
Acceptance and commitment (ACT)
An action-oriented therapeutic approach promoting a broader perspective of self. Long term goal is improved emotional well being with accepting of one's thoughts and emotions as appropriate responses to certain situations.
