I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with extensive experience (20+ Years) providing mental health services to adults, geriatrics, and pediatrics of the disadvantaged, middle class and privileged backgrounds in a variety of acute and long-term care settings including community mental health and medical clinics, intensive outpatient programs, in-home, group home, school, psychiatric/medical hospital, and independent private practice environments.
I help clients determine desired outcomes and develop realistic plans to work toward and reach those outcomes.
I provide a safe space to explore and share thoughts, feelings, and concerns in a nonjudgmental environment of support.
I work with individuals experiencing a wide range of issues including depression, anxiety, stress, anger issues, difficulty adjusting to new situations, life changes, roles, relationship difficulties, parenting issues, women's issues, men’s issues, grief, and aging issues.
My eclectic approach to providing therapy draws upon multiple theoretical orientations and techniques (mainly psychodynamic, attachment theory, cognitive behavioral therapy, mindful-based stress reduction, solution-focused, problem-solving, systems, and strength-based orientations). This multifaceted flexible approach allows me to use the most effective methods available to address each individual client's needs.
