Hi, My name is Samantha and I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 10 years of experience. I am so glad you are here taking the next step in your mental health journey. Have you been feeling sad? Anxious? Overwhelmed? Not like yourself? Whatever your reason for seeking therapy, we’ll find a path forward. We all have our unique stories, backgrounds, and experiences, and I will honor yours in our work together. My therapeutic style is warm, direct, nonjudgmental, and compassionate. My approach to therapy is collaborative, strengths-based, and solution-focused. I will work with you to recognize your challenges and help you build skills to overcome them. A little about me: I'm originally from the East Coast, which I'm told comes through in my laid back personality. I am a doggy mom with a certificate in Animals and Human Health. I believe animals are the ultimate therapy. I am not currently accepting new patients at this time. If you are a prior patient looking to resume therapy please reach out to me to discuss this at: SamanthaCrismondLCSW@proton.me

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

My goal is to empower you by giving you the tools and skills to manage your emotions and navigate challenging situations when they arise. My greatest achievement is helping you build the confidence to no longer need me.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

Therapy is not a one size fits all approach so we will use a variety of therapeutic approaches to best address your concerns. These approaches include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, and Motivational Interviewing. I have found that the use of technology has greatly improved the ability for therapists and clients to collaborate in mental health treatment. I will often use videos, worksheets, and homework to keep you engaged and to increase your understanding of concepts to improve progress.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My biggest strength is positivity. My clients tell me I always manage to find the bright side of things and help them reframe even the most challenging situations.
