My name is Peris Rodriguez, a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, and I am truly passionate about helping people feel like themselves again. I work with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD, and women’s mental health, including prenatal and postpartum care. I understand how overwhelming it can feel when your mind is constantly racing, your mood feels heavy, or you are struggling to stay focused and balanced- and you don’t have to go through that alone. My approach is warm, compassionate, and integrative. I combine thoughtful medication management with practical, therapy-informed strategies to support your overall well-being. I take the time to truly listen and understand your unique experiences, because I believe healing starts with feeling seen, heard, and supported in a safe, non-judgmental space. Together, we will work at your pace to build clarity, emotional stability, and confidence. My goal is to help you feel more in control, more connected to yourself, and empowered to create a life that feels meaningful, balanced, and aligned with who you are.
During our first session, my goal is to create a space where you feel comfortable, heard, and supported from the very beginning. Starting care can feel overwhelming, so we will move at a pace that feels right for you. There is no pressure to share everything at once- this is your space, and a safe space! We will begin by talking about what brought you in and what you have been experiencing. This may include symptoms related to anxiety, depression, ADHD, mood changes, or life stressors. I will ask thoughtful questions to better understand your current challenges, your history, and what has or has not worked for you in the past. We will also review important areas such as your sleep, stress levels, daily routines, and overall lifestyle, since these all play a role in your mental health. If you have taken medications before, we will discuss your experiences with them so we can make informed decisions moving forward. We will then talk about treatment options during the first session, including medication, therapy-informed strategies, or integrative approaches such as improving sleep, stress management, and daily habits. My approach is collaborative, which means we will work together to create a plan that feels aligned with your goals and comfort level. You can expect a supportive, non-judgmental environment where your experiences are validated. I believe that feeling safe and understood is the foundation for meaningful progress. By the end of the session, you will have: • A clearer understanding of your symptoms and patterns. • Initial recommendations or a treatment plan tailored to you. • Space to ask questions and feel confident about next steps. Most importantly, you will leave knowing you are not alone and that there is a path forward.
My greatest strengths lie in creating a space where you feel genuinely heard, understood, and supported- while also helping you make real, practical progress. I combine a warm, compassionate approach with structured, evidence-based care, so you are not just talking about your challenges, but actively learning how to manage and improve them. I take an integrative approach, looking at the whole person rather than just symptoms. This means we consider not only medication when appropriate, but also your sleep, stress levels, lifestyle, and thought patterns. I focus on helping you understand how your mind works, so you can feel more in control rather than overwhelmed by it. Clients often tell me they appreciate how I break things down in a way that feels clear, relatable, and actionable. Whether you are dealing with anxiety, depression, ADHD, or life transitions, I help you develop practical tools you can use in your daily life to feel more balanced, focused, and emotionally steady. I also prioritize collaboration. Your treatment is not one-size-fits-all; we (you and I) work together to create a plan that aligns with your goals, comfort level, and values. My goal is not just short-term relief, but long-term growth, confidence, and stability.
I work best with high-functioning adults who are navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD, and major life transitions. Many of my clients are motivated and driven but feel overwhelmed, stuck, or mentally exhausted despite their efforts. They may struggle with overthinking, low mood, difficulty focusing, emotional ups and downs, or balancing multiple responsibilities such as work, relationships, or parenthood. I also support women through prenatal and postpartum mental health challenges, as well as individuals seeking a safe, supportive space for identity exploration and personal growth. My clients often want practical tools, clarity, and a better understanding of how their mind works so they can function at their best. My approach is integrative, combining evidence-based medication management with therapy-informed strategies, lifestyle optimization, and mind-body techniques. I focus on the whole person- sleep, stress, habits, and overall wellness- not just symptoms. I am best positioned to help individuals who are ready to make meaningful changes, even if they feel unsure where to start. Together, we focus on improving emotional regulation, building healthier thought patterns, increasing productivity and focus, and creating a more balanced, fulfilling life.
