I have worked in various environments, which have included community mental health and medical settings. Throughout my time as a clinician, I have provided services to individuals, couples and families. My cultural background as well as my personal experiences have given me an awareness and a sensitivity to the vast cultural and social identities that exist. I am committed to leading with warmth, empathy, and a fundamental curiosity that reserves assumptions.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

During the first session I strive to build rapport with clients by cultivating an environment that welcomes clients to share their experiences and perspectives. Clients are encouraged to identify their motivation for seeking therapy and discuss any relevant life stressors or concerns that they may be experiencing.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My deliberate goal to become a therapist was fueled by my genuine interest in being of service to others and understanding how human complexities impact thoughts and behaviors. I wholeheartedly utilize a client-centered approach that is collaborative and I customize the therapy to my client’s specific goals and needs.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

Working with clients who are actively engaged significantly increases the therapy experience and therapeutic relationship. During sessions, I encourage clients to provide updates regarding their emotional and behavioral experiences. I will assist clients to challenge unhelpful thoughts while also highlighting strengths.
