If you are struggling with stress, anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, or life transitions, I am here to help. We can work together to gain understanding and support you on your journey. I combine compassion and empathy to build a counseling relationship with you where you can feel heard, understood, and begin to build coping skills. I believe every client is unique, and collaborate with my clients to work towards individual goals and healing.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Our first session will focus on what brings you to therapy, going over consent and legal and ethical guidelines of the therapeutic relationship, and most importantly, getting to know you and how you hope I can help. I encourage my clients to be vocal about their needs and what they hope to get out of therapy.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I am both both a compassionate and validating listener, and knowledgeable and confident about giving clients tangible skills to work towards their goals. I have worked with an incredibly diverse set of people from all walks of life throughout my career, and pride myself on building trust and connection with my clients.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT is utilized with clients experiencing a variety of issues and symptoms. Psycho education on the foundational principles of CBT is provided in the beginning stages of therapy to provide insight over the connection between our thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. CBT techniques are then implemented into ongoing therapy to help clients gain more influence over their own emotions, increasing confidence in coping skills and a sense of control.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

I believe building a foundation of trust and rapport with clients is the most important piece of the therapeutic relationship. Only then is progress able to be made, and goals met. I provide my clients with a non-judgemental space to always be their authentic selves.

Psychodynamic

Psychodynamic theory is part of my foundational training and education as a therapist. I believe that our early experiences and key relationships shape a lot of who we are, what we believe about others and the world, and we interact with others. Gaining insight into the ways in which our past experiences and relationships influence our behaviors today, allow us the opportunity to build new beliefs, values, and behaviors that feel more aligned with our goals.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

DBT and Mindfulness provide clients tangible, in real-time, actions and skills to address their mental health symptoms/emotions/behaviors of concern. Just as important as it is to identify and process our concerns, we also need to know what we can do about them.
